Ministry
Through our sponsors and partners the IMC is able to offer a number of religious services which may be held at our center or aboard your vessel. The IMC works hard to connect you with chaplains of many different faiths ensuring you have access to the guidance you are seeking.
Below are the chaplains who we work closest with. They are likely available to help during your stay in Oakland. Please go to the contact button at the top of the page if you would like to be put in touch with them.

Fr. Joseph Duong Phan,
a Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Oakland, CA.
I have been the Diocesan Director of Stella Maris since 2005. Serving the seafarers has given me joy especially when I celebrate the Holy Mass, hear confessions, and provide counseling onboard ships. Providing the pastoral care to international seafarers is a special gift of the local Church to the universal Church. I am happy to be part of the International Maritime Center team to serve the people of the sea at the Port of Oakland.
